Inspired by the rich history encompassing the East India Company and the Nawabs in Kolkata over two centuries ago, the Bhog offered during Durga Pujo, the decked up Pandals serving up hot luchis, and the big mounds of sweets, we're taking you on a sojurn to the Bae of Bengal.
Serving Kolkata streets savory Chaats and Pakoras special - Gondhoraj Churmur Chaat, Begun Bhaja (Brinjal Fry), Chicken Kabiraji and Betki fried Fish Finger.
The mains include the Kosha Mangsho, a mutton braised dish with aromatic spices; the delicious Kolkata Chicken Biryani, Muger dal (flavored with cumin and ghee), Ghee Bhat rice, Potoler Dorma (stuffed pointed gourd) and hot fluffy luchis (Puri). Dig into the Chicken Chaap (gravy), a dish which was originally introduced by the Nawabs of Bengal. And the Prawns Malai curry - a creamy, coconuty gravy with succulent prawns.
Finally, for desserts, we're serving the traditional array of sweet Bengali bliss - Rasgulla, Cham Cham, Kala Jamun, Kesar Jalebi, Sandesh, Mishti doi, Gurer Payesh (Kheer) and Meetha paan.
